Frequently Asked Questions
Is this UK itinerary planner free?
Yes, the UK Itinerary Generator is completely free. No sign-up, no payment, no email required. Just select your interests, trip length and travel style, and download your custom itinerary.
How many days do I need to see the UK?
Most first-time visitors find 7-10 days ideal. 5 days works for London plus one city (York or Bath). 10-14 days lets you properly explore England, Scotland and Wales, including the Lake District or Scottish Highlands.
Should I visit London or skip it?
For first-time visitors, 3-4 days in London is worthwhile — the British Museum, Tower of London, Westminster and a West End show are unmissable. Then move on to York, Edinburgh or the Cotswolds for a different side of the UK.
What is the best time of year to visit the UK?
May to September offers the best weather, longest days and most attractions open. June and September are ideal — warm, less crowded than July-August, and cheaper. Avoid school holidays (mid-July to early September) if you want smaller crowds.
Can I use this itinerary for a family trip?
Yes. Select 'Family' as your interest to get itineraries heavy on kid-friendly attractions like the Natural History Museum, York's Jorvik Viking Centre, Edinburgh Zoo and the Lake District's Beatrix Potter attractions.
